Update

Hello there!

So, since this blog is about reviews (mainly), I've been trying to get my hands on some Arcs. It's always exciting to have access to books not many people have read. The good news is that thanks to LibraryThing I was able to get not one, but TWO. Isn't that awesome? I know! Ok, enough rambling. I introduce you to:

Behind the Mask by Kelly Link, Cat Rambo, Carrie Vaughn, Seanan McGuire, Lavie Tidhar and Sarah Pinsker. Edited by Tricia Reeks and Kyle Richardson.

Behind the Mask is an exciting collection of short stories about the everyday lives of superheroes. Ranging from laugh-out-loud funny to decliciously dark, these stories are about the ordinary day-to-day challenges facing these extraordinary individuals―growing up, growing old, relationships, parenting, coping with that age-old desire to fit in when, let’s face it, they don’t.

Rebel Flight by Mindy Klasky

In the sheltered village of Silver Hollow, Keara knows exactly what is expected of her: Worship the twelve gods, pay the Primate his head tax, and follow her mother’s unreasonably strict rules. But Keara’s twelfth birthday is looming, along with an obligation she dares not meet. Keara must sacrifice her darkbeast on a holy altar or be branded a heretic forever.

Other children despise their bonded scapegoat animals. But Keara loves her raven, Caw. He’s the only creature in Silver Hollow who truly understands her headstrong ways.

When a traveling theater troupe passes through the village, Keara glimpses a way to escape. But the Great Road comes with its own dangers, including dread Inquisitor priests who hunt down infidels.

Will Keara find the strength to flee the only home she’s ever known? Or will she be forced to slay her closest friend on the altar of the gods?

DON'T THEY SOUND FANTASTIC?😄Okay, I may be a bit too excited.
I want to thank the lovely people from Meerkat Press and Book View Cafe for the opportunity. I'll be checking these bad boys really soon (like tonight).
Expect reviews in the near future.

Still don't have a sign off
Later gators. ✌
